From the date of the photos, my guess is the USS John C. Stennis celebrated Christmas Day early to fit it into the operational schedule.

ReplyDeleteMy wife and I love So. Tahoe. We wish we could spend more time there.We even talked about retiring there, but I will never retire.I enjoy your blog. I an X Coast Guard. Didn't see much of the big ships. Mostly 83" S.& R. And Lighthouse. Did 4 years.in the 60s. Well!
